  I have been searching a few years for a solid base Doctor in Bradenton Sarasota FL. I am elated I found Dr Timothy Blend who I now feel is one of the best Doctors in Bradenton FL for family practice and base health. My staff will all use The Blend Institute in the future. I picked Dr Timothy Blend because he is actually an MD from a top school of medicine, not just a "DO" or from third world hard to pronounce country. He is also admitted into two top hospitals which is really important if you actually ever need to do a hospital stay - but his primary goal is to keep you out of the hospital. I found on line reviews of any doctor precarious...so I started asking Pharmacists who have to deal with Doctors all day and his name kept coming up. They are impressed with his communications, attention to detail regarding his patients meds and that he would personally handle most scripts, caring more about med conflicts than most other "providers". No he does not take insurance and this bothered me the most before I met him. This is why I am writing this. I wavered greatly on making the first appointment for months but simply could not find a qualified base Doctor who was not retiring (or mentally retiring) or bought out by Pinnacle and made into a zombie where your allowed "one problem per visit".... After meeting Dr Timothy Blend MD - I found he does not take insurance because he is gifted and wants to be a "Doctor of Medicine" and not a Doctor of insurance papers - which dilutes medical talent to managing a lot of people to process paperwork and the patient can get lost in the dilution, vacations, pensions and red tape. (He does take some medicare BTW)... I think most importantly he is not owned by big pharma and busy pushing the next designer medication as well as being very open minded to supplements. He was VERY well versed on some alternative therapies for a myriad of things and we talked awhile. He spent a lot of time with me on first visit--as thorough as any Doctor could be. So the wait to initially meet Doctor Blend was worth it, and a solid relationship with a base MD in this town was certainly worth it, out of my pocket or not.

  Dr. Blend is an excellent physisian whom I refer to all of my friends. He combines all of the tools available in modern medicine with a holistic approach of preventitive medicine, Dr. Blend and his staff are extremely caring and supportive of his patients.
