- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I wish we could put into words how wonderful Dr. Erbella is. His bedside manner is kind and caring, his PA Jill, nurse Kris and all his office staff are fantastic. My husband chose him for a colon resection last week. We are very thankful we did. Dr Erbella knew my husband was horrified of getting a colostomy so he took the time to ensure my husband had a good outcome and took the time in the OR to perform the surgery as minimally invasive as possible. His pain has been minimal and his recovery easier than anticipated. I am a nurse, so I pay attention to lots of things that most people don't. I am also very much aware of the many choices we have in the community for a surgeon, and we would not go to anyone else. - ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I was referred to Dr. Erbella after being diagnosed with a perforated colon/abscess related to diverticulitus. My experience with Dr. Erbella and Jill Nash P.A. has been by far my most positive experience with a doctor. These two people are the most professional, caring and attentive medical professionals I have ever met. They are both reassuring, knowledgable and willing to answer all the questions and concerns my wife or I had. I met Dr. Jose Erbella and Jill Nash P.A. on a Monday. They took a look at my records and quickly realized I needed help. They proactively set up my admission to Manatee Memorial the following Friday for Dr. Erbella to perform a sigmoid resection surgery to remove the damaged part of my colon. Previously this procedure was explained to me by another surgeon. It involved opening me up, removing the bad portion of colon and attaching a colostomy bag for many weeks. Then another surgery was scheduled to reattach the colon. Dr. Erbella and Jill Stein P.A. utilize laparoscopic techniques to minimize the invasiveness of the surgery. It makes for a quicker recovery time and in my case did not require the use of a colostomy bag. If you need to have a similar surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Erbella and Jill Stein P.A.
